Saif grew up in Baghdad, where he studied at the University of Technology and worked in IT as a programmer in a number of companies. Something was missing, though, as he felt he couldn’t make improvements to his own life or support the community.

Now in Jordan with his wife and two children, he decided to make some changes, starting with learning English. “I attended different English courses and got many language skills, but unfortunately, I could not pass my fears to engage fluently,” he told us. Saif eventually joined the Global English Language programme, having heard about JWL through a friend, and has also since enrolled in the BA in Sustainable Development.

In this world we can find many people suffering, many families need a hope, and wish to change their situations. I believe that this study can help me be a part of something that can support others and release our inner powers in the correct directions. […] Actually, I believe that we all live in this world to help each other regardless of our religions, age, gender, and race.

Saif hopes to someday start company that creates mobile applications, computer programmes and websites. Some applications would be geared towards advertisement, focusing on banking, supermarkets and transportation. This would generate funds to then “create community free applications to learn, provide a case, or find a job for others.
