Our Students
Our students come from refugee camps, remote villages, and communities affected by conflict — united by a shared belief in the power of education. Discover how they are turning challenges into change and hope into action.

What does it mean to study in a refugee camp, navigate university life after displacement, or teach in a conflict-affected region? Higher Ed Voices at the Margins explores the lived experiences of learners, educators, and community leaders who are breaking down barriers to higher education in some of the world’s most challenging contexts.
Through personal stories and conversations, the podcast delves into themes such as access to education, resilience, migration, digital inclusion, education in emergencies, the role of artificial intelligence in higher education, and the transformative power of learning. Each episode highlights the diverse experiences of students and educators and their courage and creativity in reshaping the boundaries of higher education.
Hosted by Mélodie Honen-Delmar, a JWL team member and researcher, the podcast offers a space to listen, learn, and reflect on what education can become when rooted in dignity, justice, and lived experience.

Whether you already are a student in a JWL programme or you are seeking to become one, here you can find all important information
Current JWL students can access their course content by logging into JWL HeLP.
Your JWL ID will be provided when you have successfully enrolled in a JWL programme.
JWL programmes are delivered in a blended learning format. This means students study online but are also required to meet in-person with peers and onsite learning facilitators, at their local JWL community learning centre (CLC). To become a student with JWL, individuals must apply through one of JWL’s CLCs. Check out where your nearest learning center is located and get in contact with the coordinator.
If you aren’t sure whether there is a JWL community learning centre near you, please send us a message at jwlinfo@jwl.org, mentioning where you live (city, country) and which programme you are interested in applying for.
Your learning journey doesn’t end at graduation…Stay connected, stay inspired, and continue to make an impact.
