Iraq Students

Our Students

Students from diverse backgrounds come together at the local and global level (through the virtual classroom), engaging in discussions which promote intercultural exchanges, tolerance and open minds. Learners become leaders who give back to their communities and inspire others to do the same, fostering a more peaceful and equitable world.

Higher Ed Voices at the Margins

What does it mean to study in a refugee camp, navigate university life after displacement, or teach in a conflict-affected region? Higher Ed Voices at the Margins explores the lived experiences of learners, educators, and community leaders who are breaking down barriers to higher education in some of the world’s most challenging contexts.

Through personal stories and conversations, the podcast delves into themes such as access to education, resilience, migration, digital inclusion, education in emergencies, the role of artificial intelligence in higher education, and the transformative power of learning. Each episode highlights the diverse experiences of students and educators and their courage and creativity in reshaping the boundaries of higher education.

Hosted by Mélodie Honen-Delmar, a JWL team member and researcher, the podcast offers a space to listen, learn, and reflect on what education can become when rooted in dignity, justice, and lived experience.
