“My access to education has often been limited by my status, geographical and socio-economic barriers. JWL allowed me to continue my studies, breaking down these barriers and opening up new opportunities for my future.”
Chantal, Refugee Student in Malawi
Jesuit Worldwide Learning is the bridge between universities and marginalised communities.
We partner with universities and leverage technology to offer accredited programmes to learners in crisis-affected regions across the globe.
We engage in crisis-affected regions of our world, with the forcibly displaced (refugees, internally displaced persons), Indigenous and other excluded and oppressed communities (socioeconomic, religious, political, cultural, gender), including persons with physical disabilities.

JWL contributes to SDG 4 by offering accessible and equitable higher education programmes to marginalised communities, empowering learners with the skills and knowledge needed for personal development and social transformation.

Our female graduates are engaged in their communities as role models, teachers, entrepreneurs and leaders.

Students gain in-demand skills for employability. 70% of our graduates are employed or even create jobs.

Students protect the environment and promote social and ecological justice in their communities.

Graduates work in their communities to resolve conflict and actively promote peace.
